18 U.S.C. Sec. 1029(A)(6) addresses the solicitation to sell access devices or information regarding access devices. This law prohibits any person from knowingly and with intent to defraud, soliciting, offering, or attempting to solicit or offer to sell access devices or information regarding access devices, knowing that such device or information may be used to commit a fraud. Access devices include passwords, identification numbers, or other means of accessing a computer or account. Different types of 18 U.S.C. Sec. 1029(A)(6) violations include: 1. Offering to sell access devices or information regarding access devices; 2. Attempting to sell access devices or information regarding access devices; 3. Soliciting to sell access devices or information regarding access devices; 4. Advertising access devices or information regarding access devices.
