Broward County Offers a Senior Exemption for persons 65 and older that adds an additional $25,000 exemption if the total household income does not exceed the statutory limit, which changes yearly with inflation.

You are 65 years of age, or older, on January 1; You qualify for, and receive, the Florida Homestead Exemption; Your total 'Household Adjusted Gross Income' for everyone who lives on the property cannot exceed statutory limits.

You must be 70 or older. For Clauses 41C and 41C½, the eligible age may be reduced to 65 or older, by vote of the legislative body of your city or town. You must own and occupy the property as your domicile.
