New Hampshire Durable Power of Attorney Health Care is a legal document that allows an individual to appoint an agent (or agents) to make medical and healthcare decisions on their behalf in the event of incapacitation or incapacity. This document is most commonly used for elderly individuals and those who are considered high-risk for sudden medical emergencies. It allows an individual to make decisions about their medical care and treatment even if they cannot communicate or make decisions for themselves. The two types of New Hampshire Durable Power of Attorney Health Care are General Durable Power of Attorney and Springing Durable Power of Attorney. General Durable Power of Attorney is an irrevocable document that grants the appointed agent the power to make medical decisions on the principal’s behalf, regardless of the principal’s current state of health or medical condition. Springing Durable Power of Attorney is a revocable document that only grants the appointed agent the power to make medical decisions in the event of the principal’s incapacitation.
