DescriptionUnder District of Columbia Statute §38-117, a party who holds a lien must file a Notice of Satisfaction at the demand of the party satisfying the lien. Faliure to release a lien after such a demand results in a statutory penalty of $50.00 and all damages that the party making the demand may have suffered as a result of the failure to file. |
