Washington Safety Standards for WAC 296-62, General Occupational Health, are standards that establish minimum requirements for employers in the state of Washington to provide a safe working environment for their employees. These standards include requirements for the development and implementation of safety programs, hazard communication, respiratory protection, medical surveillance, hearing conservation, and emergency planning. In addition, the standards cover the use of personal protective equipment, fire protection, sanitation, housekeeping, and other safety-related topics.
