Selling or delivering a firearm to a person who is prohibited from possessing a firearm by federal or state law, such as a convicted felon. 2. Selling or delivering a firearm to a person in a state other than the one in which the seller is licensed to sell firearms. 3. Selling or delivering a firearm to a person who is under the age of 18. Violations of this law are punishable by a fine, imprisonment, or both. Additionally, sellers and buyers of firearms may be subject to additional state and local laws, such as background checks, that may further restrict the sale and delivery of firearms.
