This is necessary for the Notary to remain in good standing and for the public to be able to locate a Notary in their area. There are two types of Texas Notary Public Change of Address: address change and name change. The address change process requires the Notary to submit a Notary Public Change of Address Form to the Secretary of State with proof of the new address; the name change process requires the Notary to submit a Notary Public Change of Name Form to the Secretary of State, along with proof of the new name. Both processes require the Notary to pay a filing fee.
