The Pennsylvania Involuntary Termination Packet is a document designed to provide employers in the state of Pennsylvania with the information and forms they need to terminate an employee’s employment. It includes all the necessary forms and documents to give notice of the termination, document the reasons for the termination, and provide instructions for filing an unemployment claim. The packet may also include a notice of the employee’s right to appeal the decision and any applicable separation agreements. There are two types of Pennsylvania Involuntary Termination Packets: one for employers who employ fewer than 10 employees, and one for employers with 10 or more employees. Both packets contain the same information and forms, but the packet for employers with 10 or more employees also includes additional forms related to the WARN Act, which requires employers to provide employees with advanced notice of a mass layoff.
