Pennsylvania License Suspension Appeal is a process that allows an individual to contest the suspension of their driver’s license. This process is available to those who have had their license suspended due to a violation of state traffic laws and/or regulations, or due to an accumulation of multiple violations. There are generally three types of Pennsylvania License Suspension Appeals: 1) an administrative hearing, 2) a court hearing, and 3) an appeal to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. During an administrative hearing, the individual will present their case to a hearing examiner and the state will present evidence against the individual. During a court hearing, the individual will present their evidence to a judge, who has the authority to reverse or modify the suspension. Finally, an appeal to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court can be made if the individual has exhausted all other appeal options. In all cases, the individual must present evidence that the suspension was unfounded or without merit.
