Oklahoma Appointment or Change of Registered Agent and/or Office is a process by which a business entity, such as a corporation, limited liability company (LLC), or limited partnership, changes or appoints a registered agent in Oklahoma. The registered agent is a contact person or company that is authorized to receive service of process (legal notice) on behalf of the business entity. The registered agent must have a physical address in the state of Oklahoma and must be available during normal business hours. There are two types of Oklahoma Appointment or Change of Registered Agent and/or Office: new appointment of a registered agent and change of registered agent. In a new appointment of a registered agent, the business entity appoints a new registered agent. In a change of registered agent, the business entity changes the current registered agent. The process of Oklahoma Appointment or Change of Registered Agent and/or Office can be completed either online or by submitting the appropriate documents to the Oklahoma Secretary of State. After the documents have been accepted, the change or appointment will be effective.
