The Nevada Application for Order for Protection (Workplace) is a legal document used in the state of Nevada to provide protection for employees from workplace harassment, discrimination, and violence. This document enables the employee to seek a court order to prevent further harm and to provide relief from any future harm or threat of harm. There are two types of Nevada Application for Order for Protection (Workplace): Temporary and Extended. The Temporary Application is used to seek immediate protection while the Extended Application is used to seek protection that will last beyond the expiration of a Temporary Application. The Application must be filed in the county where the alleged harassment, discrimination, or violence occurred, or in the county where the employee resides, works, or is attending school. The Application must include detailed information about the employee, the employer, and the alleged harassment, discrimination, or violence. After the Application is filed, the court will determine whether the employee is entitled to a Temporary or Extended Order for Protection and issue the appropriate Order.
