Missouri Checklist — Closing Estates is a comprehensive checklist of tasks that must be completed when closing an estate in the state of Missouri. It covers the entire process, from probate to settling the estate, and includes information on tax obligations, finalizing assets, and distributing the estate. The checklist covers all the necessary steps to make sure the estate is closed properly and all the applicable laws are followed. There are two types of Missouri Checklist — Closing Estates: 1) Simplified Estates and 2) Complex Estates. The Simplified Estates' checklist is designed for estates with assets of less than $25,000 and/or no real estate. The Complex Estates' checklist is designed for estates with assets of greater than $25,000 and/or including real estate. Both checklists are designed to help executors and administrators through the process of closing an estate.
