The Michigan Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Enforcement Act (MUCKED) Affidavit is a legal document that is used in Michigan to establish and enforce child custody jurisdiction and orders. It is typically used when one parent wishes to modify a custody order, enforce a custody order, or establish a new child custody order. The MUCKED Affidavit must be signed by both parents before it can be filed with the court. There are three types of MUCKED Affidavits: 1. The MUCKED Affidavit of Custody for Establishing or Modifying Custody; 2. The MUCKED Affidavit of Custody for Enforcement of Custody; and 3. The MUCKED Affidavit of Custody for Registration of Custody. Each of these affidavits contains information about the child(men), the parents, the current custody order, and any proposed modifications or enforcement of the existing order. The affidavit must be signed by both parents and notarized before it can be filed with the court.
