A Georgia Notice of Appeal is a document used to initiate an appeal in the state of Georgia. It is typically filed by the appellant (the party appealing the original court ruling) in the Georgia Court of Appeals or the Supreme Court of Georgia. There are two types of Georgia Notice of Appeal: 1) Interlocutory Appeal Notice and 2) Appeal from Final Judgment Notice. The Interlocutory Appeal Notice is used to appeal an interlocutory order, which is an order issued by the trial court prior to a final judgment. The Appeal from Final Judgment Notice is used to appeal a final judgment of the trial court. The Notice of Appeal must include information such as the appellant’s name and address, the case number, the court from which the appeal is being taken, and the date of the ruling being appealed. Additionally, the Notice must include a statement of the errors complained of, and the relief requested.
