It is issued to individuals who have passed the Arizona Court Reporter Examination and met other requirements necessary to become an official court reporter in the state. There are two types of Arizona Certificate of Official Court Reporter: the Standard Certificate and the Provisional Certificate. The Standard Certificate is issued to court reporters who have passed the Arizona Court Reporter Examination and met all other requirements. The Provisional Certificate is issued to court reporters who have completed a court reporting training program approved by the Arizona Supreme Court. Both certificates are valid for three years and must be renewed at the end of that period to maintain certification.
