Use the online service to report any changes in circumstances about your claim or application for Carer's Allowance.

You can usually get Carer's Allowance if all of the following apply: you're aged 16 or over. you're not in full time education. you spend at least 35 hours a week caring for a disabled person.

If you wish to make a claim for a £500 payment you must have been employed in a qualifying role between 15 March 2020 and 31 May 2020. If you are eligible you should sign and return the declaration at the bottom of this form.

If you do not have a physical copy of your Carers Allowance letter, you can contact the Carer's Allowance Unit to see if you can be sent a digital copy which you can upload as proof of receipt of carer's allowance.

Carer's Benefit is a social insurance payment made to someone who gives up work to care for person in need of full time care.

To do this, go to .gov.uk/carers-allowance/how-to-claim and select Apply now. If you cannot apply for Carer's Allowance online, you can fill in an application form and send it by post. You can fill the form in on a device, such as your computer or mobile phone, then print it off.

National Insurance number (if you have a partner you'll need theirs too) bank or building society details (unless you get your State Pension) employment details and latest payslip if you're working. Once you've claimed online, you should receive a decision by post in 3 weeks. If you've applied by post, it will take a few days more. If you're not happy with the decision, you can challenge it.
