A Federal Taxidermy permit is required to perform taxidermy services on migratory birds or their parts, nests, or eggs for someone other than yourself. Taxidermy permits authorize you to receive and temporarily possess legally acquired, properly tagged migratory birds for mounting or other preparation.

Although taxidermists in this state are not required to obtain a state license or permit to possess and mount wildlife species that were legally taken or possessed, they are required to maintain certain records and are restricted in the possession or sale of certain species of wildlife resources as provided by the ...
