What we do enables children and young people to engage with the needs of others (especially other young people) locally, nationally and globally and encouraging them to participate in activities and projects in which they can make a difference.

The Boys' Brigade program has a Kingdom focus and seeks to engage with a lost generation in practical and experiential ways to hold them through the difficult teenage years, training them to be committed, skilled leaders in the church, their own family and in the community where they live.

The Boys' Brigade is open to children and young people aged from 5 to 18, of any faith and background.

The Boys' Brigade (BB) is an international interdenominational Christian youth organisation, conceived by the Scottish businessman Sir William Alexander Smith to combine drill and fun activities with Christian values.

The Boys' Brigade was founded in Glasgow on 4th October 1883 by Sir William Alexander Smith. From this one Company formed in Scotland the BB has grown in to a worldwide movement having worked with millions of children and young people for well over a century.

The best way to get involved is to find your local group (also known as a 'Company') by using our 'Find a Group' tool, all you need is your postcode and you'll be given a list of your nearest groups. Get in touch by completing the online contact form or just pop along on the day and time the group meets.

Today we work with over 1,200 churches of all denominations that use our programmes and resources to reach out to over 40,000 children and young people each week.
