Ancillary administration is a type of probate case filed in Florida after a person dies. It allows the Florida probate court to transfer ownership of in-state property held at the time of the person's death to beneficiaries in other states.

In most Florida courts, the court filing fees for summary administration are approximately $236 for estates valued at less than $1,000 and approximately $346 for estates valued at over $1,000 but less than $75,000.

Once an order of summary administration has been entered, the petitioner must publish a notice to all creditors. The notice must include the name of the decedent, the file number of the estate, and the address of the court in charge of the proceeding.

A motion must include — in a single document no longer than twenty-five pages inclusive of all parts — a concise statement of the precise relief requested, a statement of the basis for the request, and a legal memorandum supporting the request.

Summary Administration may be filed when the value of the entire estate does not exceed $75,000.00 or when the decedent has been dead for more than two (2) years. A petition for summary administration may be filed by any beneficiary, heir at law, or person nominated as personal representative in the decedent's will.

The purpose of a Motion for Clarification is to ask the Court to explain the provisions of a prior order of the Court that a party does not fully understand.

State Attorney Susan “Suzy” Lopez leads a team of approximately 300 prosecutors and professional staff in two offices in Hillsborough County. Lopez and the agency are responsible for all criminal prosecutions in the 13th Judicial Circuit, handling approximately 50,000 cases every year.

ing to Section 735.201 of the Florida Statutes, summary administration in Florida can be done if the person has been deceased for over two years or if the assets are less than $75,000. If the person has been dead for over two years then there is no cap in the amount of assets of the administration.
