The Portal is the platform through which G1 installers register Grant products for their extended guarantees – a product can only be registered for an extended guarantee through the G1 Portal (not the Grant UK website).

The G-1 develops and implements effective policy and leads programs that build sustained personnel readiness in the Army's greatest asset - people. The G-1 takes responsibility for execution of our assigned functions and achievement of our mission in support of the Secretary of the Army, CSA and the ASA(M&RA).

An S1 is a staff position that is responsible for personnel at the battalion or brigade level. The G1 is a staff position responsible for personnel at the Division and Corps level.

Summary of What G-1 Does: Directs the development and execution of plans, programs, and policies related to personnel and services for CONPLANs, operations plans (OPLANs), command post exercises (CPXs), and field training exercises (FTXs).
