Applications for appointments as weighmasters must be submitted to the State Superintendent of Weights and Measures at 1261 Routes 1 & 9 South, Avenel, New Jersey 07001-1647. The prescribed fee is $150.00 for each person certified as a weighmaster. 2. The term of appointment is for three (3) years.

A certified scale has a blue seal about 1 ½" across. The seal will state the year and quarter certified. To register for certification a scale up to 1,000 pounds, contact Division of Weights and Measures: $20 application fee. Call first to see if manufacturer's scale is one that is able to be approved.

Every Application shall be submitted to the respective Inspectorate Offices in a prescribed form (Form LM-1) with the following attested documents etc. Identity proof. 2 Passport size. Certificate of Registration of Industry. NOC from Competent Authority. Document proof of Ownership / Lease Agreement of Premises.

• Weighmasters; individuals or firms who weigh, measure, or count bulk products. and issue certificates of accuracy of the weight, measure, or count are licensed. • Weighmaster certificates are used as the basis to buy or sell the product.
