How to fill out the NZ T20 online
The NZ T20 form is used to inform Tenancy Services of a change in tenants for a rental property. This guide provides clear and supportive instructions to help you complete the form accurately and efficiently.
Follow the steps to complete the NZ T20 form online
- Click the ‘Get Form’ button to access the NZ T20 form and open it in the editor.
- Enter the bond number in the appropriate field. This number is found in previous correspondence regarding the rented property. If you cannot locate it, please contact Tenancy Services for assistance.
- Fill out the address of the rented property, including street number, street name, suburb, town or city, and the property identification number if known. If you don't know the property ID number, leave that box blank.
- Provide landlord details, including the full name(s) of the landlord(s) and their Landlord ID number if available. If unknown, you may leave the box blank and seek assistance from Tenancy Services.
- Complete the departing tenant(s) section by printing the full names of all tenants leaving the property and including the departure date. Each departing tenant must sign, confirming they will make no claim on the bond money.
- In the new/continuing tenant(s) section, list all new tenants and include at least one original tenant who will continue to rent the property. Each new tenant should provide their address for service, ensuring it is a street address in New Zealand.
- Gather all signatures from both the landlord(s) and new/continuing tenant(s) in the designated area to verify that the information provided is accurate and agreed upon.
- Once completed, you can save the form, download it for your records, print a hard copy, or share it, as needed. Ensure to review all information for completeness before submission.
