Building Permit applications are completed online. Please go to Online Permit Applications; enter the information directly into the County's Permitting System. Once the application is completed online, the customer's information is entered directly into the County's permitting system.

You may visit the Public Works Online Permit System at PW Permits (miamidade.gov) and register/sign-in to apply for a Public Works permit for: Commercial properties. Residential properties under construction. New driveways for existing properties.

How long does it take for a permit to be approved? Residential Construction Permits require an average of 14 working days for approval or response. Additional approvals from other departments are also required to issue a permit. Commercial Construction Permits require an average of 28 working days for approval.
