How do I prove residency in MCPS MD?

Proof of Residency: Homeowners: A copy of a current property tax bill, or if the property was recently bought, a copy of the Closing Disclosure. Renters: If renter, a copy of a current lease. If the original term of the lease has expired, a copy of a current utility bill, or a lease extension should be provided.

Proof of residency must be submitted with all applications. Examples of Acceptable Proof: Current Montgomery County Property tax bill or current rental lease. Also submit current utility bill showing name and address. Student now residing in Montgomery County without parents and is requesting a waiver of tuition.

Generally accepted documents are: current rental lease; current utility bills containing applicant's name and address; or a current property tax bill.

Proof of Residence If you own your home, you will need to provide one (1) of the following: Deed (all pages with all signatures) with 1 current utility bill. Settlement Papers (with all signatures) with 1 current utility bill.
