Ovule is the plant part that develops into a seed after fertilization. The ovules of angiosperms are contained in a structure called the ovary within the flower.

Answer and Explanation: The four main plant divisions are the following: bryophytes, angiosperms, gymnosperms, and pteridophytes. Bryophytes are composed of non-vascular, seedless plants such as mosses, hornworts, and liverworts. Angiosperms are comprised of vascular, flower, and seed-bearing plants.

In order for a seed to form, a flower has to be pollinated. A pollinator has to move pollen from the stamen of one flower to the stigma of another. Then, the pollen grains move through the pistil to the ovules. When that happens, the ovules will develop into seeds.

Plants with vascular tissues usually have three types of structures: leaves, roots, and branches. Plants have specialized structures to deal with water and nutrients. These include stomata controlled by guard cells, a loosely packed spongy layer, the palisade layer, xylem, and phloem.

Plants are one of five big groups (kingdoms) of living things. They are autotrophic eukaryotes, which means they have complex cells, and make their own food. Usually they cannot move (not counting growth).

A seed is formed when fertilised ovule divides by mitosis. It stores food and has the potential to develop into a new plant under optimal conditions. Fertilization is the process of fusion of male gamete and female gamete to form a zygote.
