A Petition for Review is not a new hearing, but an opportunity to request the District Court to review a final order from proceedings in a domestic or juvenile case based upon law, if a party believes that the judgment is in error.

Judicial review. (1) In order to assure a plain, simple, and prompt judicial remedy to persons or parties adversely affected or aggrieved by agency actions, the provisions of this section shall be applicable.

In order to appeal a Magistrate Judge's decision, it is first necessary to file a Petition for Review with a Colorado District Court Judge.
