What is Georgia's new policy for senior drivers?

Customers age 64 and older are required to take a vision screening at each renewal period. Customers can renew in person or online. The minimum acceptable vision for a non-commercial license is: 20/60 in at least one eye, with or without corrective lenses and a field of vision of at least 140 degrees.

The DMV's vision screening standard is the ability to see 20/40 with both eyes together, OR 20/40 in one eye and at least 20/70 in the other eye, with or without corrective lenses.

The driving standard is 20/40 so you can drive with up to 1 diopter of myopia. You will be able to function with a refractive error up to -2.50. If your prescription exceeds -2.50, you will be ``legally blind without glasses'' because you can't see the big E without them.

The DMV's vision screening standard is the ability to see 20/40 with both eyes together, OR 20/40 in one eye and at least 20/70 in the other eye, with or without corrective lenses.
