How long does it take to receive the VPK certificate once I submit my application? Normal processing can take up to 10 business days to receive your VPK certificate.

To register your child for VPK, simply visit the Family Portal at: https://familyservices.floridaearlylearning.com/ where you will create an account and complete the application process.

The base student allocation for 2021-2022 is $2,122 for the VPK Summer program and $2,486 for the VPK School-Year program.

Florida was one of the first states in the country to offer free prekindergarten to all 4-year-olds. Children must live in Florida and be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 of the current school year to be eligible.

A PreK can be at a public school, private school, church, private business, or home. Voluntary Prekindergarten or VPK is a funding program through the State of Florida that covers the cost of a set number of hours of PreK when a child is 4 years old. VPK Funding is available to all families, regardless of income.

To be eligible, children must live in Florida and be 4-years-old on or before September 1 of the program year. Parents whose children are born from February 2 through September 1 of a calendar year may choose to enroll their child in VPK either that year or the year their child turns five (5).

VPK is free for eligible children, regardless of family income. Providers are not permitted to charge a fee (registration, supplies, etc.) or require parents to agree to any additional services as a condition for enrolling their child in a VPK program.
