Depending on the length of program needed, Veterans may be provided up to 48 months of full-time services or the part- time equivalent. Rehabilitation plans that only provide services to improve independence in daily living are limited to 30 months. These limitations may be extended in certain circumstances.

With a VR&E monthly payment of $2,728 and $942.44 per month in subsistence, a family of three two dependents and the veteran could earn $3,670.44 per month while in the rehabilitation program full-time.

The Independent Living Program is a United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) program aimed at making sure that each eligible veteran is able to live independently to their maximum capacity. The program is commonly referred to as VA ILP.

Full Time Enrollment-To be full time at the undergraduate level a student must be in 12 credits required for the degree program VA has on file. Summer quarter enrollment training time is much different. To be considered full time during Summer Quarter, students must be enrolled in at least 7 credits.
