Applications generally take up to four weeks to be assessed, however, during busy periods it may take longer. Assessment time depends on the complexity of your application, the availability of academics and the volume of applications received.

Depending on your course, you may have the option to defer your offer for up to one year. This means we'll hold a place for you to enrol in your course the following semester or year. Deferment is open to most students: coursework or research students, domestic or international though not all courses can be deferred.

You can withdraw from a unit of study without any penalties up until the census date of that session. If you choose to discontinue a unit after census, there may be financial and/or academic penalties. Deadlines for adding units of study and the census date for each session are available on the Study dates page.

Withdrawing an application You can do this at any time before the release of results for that assessment or a replacement assessment, whichever occurs first. To withdraw an application: log in to special consideration and arrangements and go to 'My applications' select 'Withdraw' for the applicable assessment.
