A Certificate of Compliance provides confirmation that all tax returns and taxes administered by the SCDOR have been filed and paid by a taxpayer. The certificate may be requested when proof of compliance is necessary for an individual or business and is valid for 30 days from the date of issue by the SCDOR.​

Find forms at dor.sc.gov/forms. balance due using our free online tax portal, MyDORWAY. Visit dor.sc.gov/pay and select Individual Income Tax Payment to get started.

You may receive a letter from the SCDOR asking you to complete either the Identity Verification Quiz or Individual Code Verification after filing your return. This is just another step we are taking to ensure that fraudsters are not using your information to file a false return and ​steal your refund.

You must have filed a 2021 South Carolina Individual Income Tax return by October 17, 2022 (or by the extended due date, February 15, 2023) and have a 2021 tax liability to qualify.
