The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) insignia is required on mobilehomes, commercial modulars, and special purpose commercial modulars. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) label is required on manufactured homes.

Contact Manufactured Housing at 916-445-3338. For a small fee they will research to see if the mobile vehicle has ever been issued the insignia. If it has, they will provide you with a duplicate insignia.

Insignia will only be issued through an HCD-approved FBH Quality Assurance Agency and for units that have prior plan approval, in ance with California Code of Regulations, Title 25, Chapter 3, Subchapter 1 .
