If you hold a CCF issued Victorian Red card, we can lodge your request to WorkSafe on your behalf to transfer it over to the Work Cover White Card. You MUST have completed your original training with CCF for your request to be processed. NOTE: Red cards are still valid in Victoria, but are not Nationally recognised.

The Red Card is the old Victorian card that was issued in the state for all employees working in the construction industry. However, the card has since been replaced by the WorkSafe VIC White Card. The Red Card is still accepted anywhere in Victoria as long as it was issued before July 1, 2008.

A construction induction card, or white card, signifies that you have completed all required training and can safely and efficiently work on a range of job sites. It is a mandatory ticket that provides clearance to work on sites throughout Victoria. Without one, you cannot seek employment in the construction industry.

Red Card: Display the red card when there is inherent danger with the current work and develop a new Safe Plan of Action that eliminates the safety hazards. STOP WORK!

The 'Red Card' - now known as the 'White Card' - is the basic OHS induction training for the construction industry. The White Card (or its equivalent interstate induction card) is now a prerequisite for all workers, including apprentices, going on to Victorian construction sites.

How to get the Red Card to White Card replacement and what's the requirement? To complete the Red Card to White Card transfer, you only need to complete our online transfer application form. We will require you to submit your valid government-issued photo ID and readable Red Card in the online application form.
