An addendum is an additional document that gets added to the purchase and sale agreement. The document will include any additional information or requests that the buyer did not put into the original purchase and sale agreement.

A lender must provide the Loan Estimate either in person or by placing it in the mail no more than three business days after receipt of the consumer's application AND no later than seven business days prior to consummation. If a loan application has not been submitted, a lender is not required to issue a Loan Estimate.

The Loan Estimate tells you important details about the loan you have requested. The lender must provide you a Loan Estimate within three business days of receiving your application.

A pre-approval says that you're a good candidate for a mortgage. You're likely to be approved for the loan as long as the information you provide is accurate. A Loan Estimate, on the other hand, doesn't come until “after” you've found a property.
