The armorer's primary duty is the operation of the unit arms room. The armorer will be exempt from other duties (i.e., Charge of Quarters, Guard Duty, etc.), to the maximum extent possible.

Per Army Regulation 190-11, the carrying of privately owned weapons and ammunition is prohibited on post unless authorized by the Senior Commander. Also, the carrying of a concealed weapon on the installation is prohibited regardless of whether a state or county permit has been obtained.

FIREARMS AND TRANSPORTATION You are NOT authorized to have a concealed or open carry weapon, unless you are carrying a letter from the Fort Benning Command that specifically gives you personal authorization. Firearms may be temporarily transported in your vehicle to the Multi-Gun competition.
