(a) Any person who intends to sell, offer for sale, possess with intent to sell, any consumer fireworks, display fireworks or articles pyrotechnic or discharge, use, display fireworks or articles pyrotechnic shall first obtain the appropriate license from the state fire marshal.

The fireworks retailer shall have an approved seasonal fireworks permit from the Missouri Division of Fire Safety before applying for the City business license and temporary structure permit.

5. D It is unlawful for any person under the age of 16 to sell fireworks or work in a facility where fireworks are stored, sold, or offered for sale unless under the supervision of an individual at least 18 years of age.

Each year, the division issues permits to more than 1,500 seasonal retailers to sell consumer fireworks to the public. These permit holders can legally sell to the public from June 20 to July 10 and from Dec. 20 to Jan. 2 of the next year.
