Get NJCAA Hardship Request 2

Students who have served eighteen calendar months in the Armed Forces of the United States, church mission or with a recognized foreign aid service shall be exempt from the First Season Academic Requirements and Second Season Academic Requirements. This must be approved by the NJCAA National Office.

The general requirements for prospective NJCAA student-athletes are the following: Students must be a high school graduate, have received a high school equivalency diploma, or have been certified as having passed a national test such as the General Education Development Test (GED).

For instance, if you attend a two-year school (community college or junior college) and want to transfer to an NCAA Division I or II school, you may need to graduate first from your two-year school before you can compete at your new school.

NJCAA Division II athletics provides member institutions with an exceptional platform for student-athletes to pursue their academic and athletic endeavors. Ultimately, NJCAA Division II establishes a strong foundation for the development of student success and lifetime achievement.

Students are allowed to participate in their first two (2) seasons of intercollegiate competition in any sport at an NJCAA college. The NJCAA does not have an “eligibility clock” nor does the NJCAA have an age limit.

You are allowed a maximum of four (4) seasons of intercollegiate competition in a given sport. Your first two (2) can be at a community college. Can I compete at any California community college?

You are allowed a maximum of four (4) seasons of intercollegiate athletic competition across all four-year levels in a given sport. Only your first two (2) seasons of competition can be at a community college. Q. Can I be recruited by any California community college coach?

Requirements: A student-athlete must be a graduate of a high school with an academic diploma, general education diploma or a state department of education approved high school equivalency test.
