Effective April 1, 2023, all parents with children under the age of six in a regulated child care centre or home are eligible to receive child care for $10 per day or $217.50 per month. The reduced fees apply to all children under the age of six occupying an infant, toddler, preschool or school-age space.

Saskatchewan commits to using federal funding to reduce out-of-pocket parent fees for full-time regulated ELCC spaces for children under age 6 to an average of $10/day by the end of fiscal year 2025 to 2026.

If you have one child under the age of 18, you need a gross monthly household income below $1,640 to be eligible for a child care subsidy. The gross monthly household income limit increases by $100 for each additional child under the age of 18.

Families earning under $90,000 gross annually with children in kindergarten to Grade 6 enrolled in a licensed program outside of regular school hours are eligible for child care subsidy. Review the eligibility requirements for more information on how to qualify for subsidy and how to calculate your total family income.

Eligibility be the parent or guardian of a child under the age of 13; use a regulated child care facility; be a resident of Saskatchewan; and. have a valid reason for child care such as employment, education or special health needs.

Parents whose children are under the age of six and attend regulated child care on a full-time basis can expect to pay $217.50 per month. The fee reductions will result in families saving an average of $395 to $573 per month for each child under six from the average comparable fees as of March 31, 2021.
