Unlimited amount of money can be transferred via RTGS through a bank branch. The upper ceiling for online RTGS depends on the bank. It takes 30 minutes to add beneficiary for RTGS transaction. After the beneficiary is added, the payer needs to wait for 24 hours before making the transaction.

Cancellation of Demand Draft You will have to go to your branch and make a request for the cancellation of your demand draft. There are two key scenarios for cancellation: If you got the DD by paying cash, then you must present the original DD along with the cash receipt.

RTGS is a system where processing of instructions is done in real time, so the transfer is instant. However, RTGS service is available only on working days and during working hours. Transferring money through RTGS can be initiated via mobile or Internet banking or by visiting a bank branch.

Cancellation of Demand Draft If, due to any reason, you have to cancel the demand draft, it can only be done at the bank. You will have to go to your branch and make a request for the cancellation of your demand draft.

Make a formal request explicitly to the branch manager in the letter for cancellation of the demand draft. End the DD cancellation letter with your signature and mention your name in detail along with your account number.

Select Inter Bank (Transfer to other bank) or Intra Bank (Transfer Within the Bank) Payee through RTGS/ NEFT. Select the Transaction Type: RTGS or NEFT. Choose the beneficiary from the list of beneficiaries existing in your account, to whom you want to transfer the funds. Enter the Amount to be transferred.

Write 'Yourself for NEFT' in front of Pay on the cheque as shown in the below image. Write the amount in the next line, so you will have to write 'Fifty thousand rupees only'. Fill the amount in Number in the box provided so write '50,000' Sign above authroised signatory.
