The standard (employer) rate is 10.50%. Interest rates are 1.5% per month. NOTE: Employees are charged interest (at a rate of 1.5% monthly for 2023) on late contribution/reimbursement payments. Interest charges begin on the date the payment is due and continue until the Division receives the payment.

Beginning with Tax Year 2020 and including Tax Year 2021, the Act exempts from the state income tax the UI benefits received by an individual earning less than $75,000, and couples filing jointly or individual heads of households earning less than $100,000.
