The Artesia FLETC has three dormitories. Dormitory rooms cannot be reserved in advance, but requests for roommates (within classes) can be made in advance by calling your organization representative at FLETC. Dormitory rooms are individually heated and air-conditioned.

Can you have your phone at FLETC?

FLETC offers students and PO staff, the ability to connect wirelessly to the FLETC Guest Network for work, training and limited personal use while attending training at a FLETC location. FLETC Guest Network users can connect using Government or personal devices such as laptops, cell phones and tablets.

Do you have weekends off at FLETC?

The normal training week is Monday through Friday, but training may be scheduled on weekends, if necessary. When you check in at the Visitor Center, you will be provided a class schedule for your reference.

Do you get your own room at FLETC?

All lodging arrangements are made by the FLETC Student Services Division and are included in the cost of training for programs being held at Glynco, Artesia and Charleston. For programs held at Cheltenham facility or other export sites the attendee is responsible for arranging and paying for their lodging.

What do I need to bring to FLETC?

Students are encouraged to bring their issued semiautomatic pistol, issued leather gear and a minimum of 5 magazines; ammunition will be provided. FLETC uniforms will be provided. Students should wear service-type boots or shoes. Individual eye and hearing protection is permitted.

Dormitory rooms are for your use only; there are no facilities for spouses, families, etc. We also ask that you conserve energy and water by turning off lights, water, and appliances when they are not being used.

Can you leave FLETC on weekends?

If you leave FLETC over a weekend, it is your responsibility to be in class at 7:30 am on the following workday. Annual leave and sick leave are granted while in training at the Academy. Recognizing that unforeseen emergencies may arise during your training, emergency annual leave may be requested.
