The EPC is not a physical card, but an electronic certificate issued via the first EU-wide fully online procedure for the recognition of qualifications.

The International Energy Conservation Codes (IECC) is one of two predominant energy codes adopted by states in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Developed by the International Codes Council (ICC), the IECC has provisions for both residential and commercial homes and buildings.

The SANAS-accredited EPC IB must issue the EPC Certificate to the paying client, after uploading/submitting the relevant data to the EPC Building Register hosted by SANEDI.

The International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) is a model energy code that references the ASHRAE 90.1 Standard. Other differences include: ASHRAE 90.1 and IECC have different 3-year cycles. IECC follows behind ASHRAE 90.1 by 2 years.

Since 2002, Texas has continued to adopt the latest ASHRAE 90.1 Standard.

The IECC addresses energy conservation requirements for all aspects of energy use in both commercial and residential construction, including heating and ventilating, lighting, water heating, and power usage for appliances and building systems.
