The MBB is NOT intended to be worn without a shoe. It's part of a long-term treatment plan that includes a strength training program to prevent falls.

What Is a Balance Brace? A balance brace is an ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) designed and built to help reduce the risk of falls. The brace features a full footbed, supports the sides and back of the ankle, and the lower shin.

SMO (Supra Malleolar Orthotics) the smaller shoe that helps stabilize the ankle and prevents the arch of the foot from collapsing. AFO (Ankle Foot Orthotics) this brace helps hold the foot and ankle in the correct position.
