How do you calculate a pay period? Determine the start and end date of the pay period. Count the number of days/hours worked during the pay period. Multiply the number of days/hours worked by the employee's daily rate/hourly wage to calculate the gross pay for the pay period.

Per Period means the an aggregate of all claims made against the Assured during the Period of Insurance. This Limit may be higher than the “Per Claim” Limits, but cannot be less than such Limit. Sample 1. Per Period means total amount of the Insurer's liability in respect of all claims during the Period of Insurance.

Biweekly pay dates occur every other week, and semi-monthly pay is paid out on two specific dates a month (e.g. every 5th and 20th of the month). There are 26 pay periods per year. Employees are paid on a specific day, e.g. every other Friday. Pay is every two weeks.

A bi-weekly schedule consists of 26 pay periods in a year. Each pay cycle generally consists of 80 hours for a full-time employee.

Methods of Calculating With full-time equivalents, you should assume one FTE will work a 40 hour workweek. A quick and easy method of calculating monthly hours is to multiply 40 hours per week by 4 weeks, yielding 160 hours for the month.

The difference is that full-time biweekly salaried employees will be paid for 80 hours each payday. Full-time semi-monthly employees will receive 86.67 hours of pay per paycheck. The hourly difference occurs because of the distinction in the number of paychecks the employees will receive.

It's usually 72 hours because you work 3 12 hour shifts per week, and that adds up to 72 hours in 2 weeks.
