The score for each developmental area on ASQ-3 questionnaires range from 0 to 60 on each of the 21 age intervals. So, for every ASQ-3 questionnaire, a child has 5 scores (Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Problem Solving, Personal-Social, Communication) that each range between 0 and 60.

Be sure to select the right tool. The ASQ- 3 is focused on developmental progress. The ASQ:SE-2 is for early detection of social-emotional challenges.

ASQ:SE- 2 is a set of questionnaires about behavior and social- emotional development in young children. There are nine questionnaires for different ages to screen children from 1 month to 6 years old.

The Ages and Stages Questionnaires® is a screening tool that can be used to screen infants and young children for delays during the crucial first five years of life. ASQ meets the recommendation by the California Department of Social Services to use standardized tools to identify children for referral.

ASQ-3, which includes 21 questionnaires, covers 1 month through 5½ years of age. The following intervals are available: 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36, 42, 48, 54, and 60 months of age.

Please note: ASQ-3™ is designed for screening, not diagnosis. It is a quick check for children from birth through age five. If your child is age six or older, please discuss his or her development with your child's health care provider, your local school district, or your child's teacher.
