The SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) is the primary regulatory body charged with licensing Deposit‑Taking Sacco Societies (Savings and Credit Co-operatives Societies) - DT regulation 2010 and authorizing specified Non Deposit taking saccos - NDTS Regulations 2021 in the Republic of Kenya.

The SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) is the government's principal agency responsible for the supervision and regulation of SACCO Societies in Kenya. It is established pursuant to the provisions the Sacco Societies Act, No. 14 of 2008.

To regulate and supervise Sacco societies; To levy contributions in ance with this Act; To do all such other things as may be lawfully directed by the Minister; and lastly, To perform such other functions as are conferred on it by this Act or by any other written law.
