Nova Scotia immigration has announced the permanent closure of the Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream. Category A of the stream, for candidates with a job offer, will permanently close as of January 4, 2021. Category B, aimed at candidates with skills and experience in in-demand jobs, has already been closed.

The NSNP is Nova Scotia's Provincial Nominee Program. Through this program, prospective immigrants with the skills and experience targeted by the province may receive a Nova Scotia Provincial Nomination Certificate. The NSNP accepts applications under the following immigration streams: Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry.

Once you're ready to move to beautiful Nova Scotia you will want to apply to a Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) stream. Through the NSNP, prospective immigrants who have the skills and experience needed by Nova Scotia employers may be nominated to immigrate.

Most PNPs require applicants to have some connection to the province. They should have either worked earlier in that province or studied there. Or they should have a job offer from an employer in the province for a job visa. A provincial nomination can help you in two ways to get your PR visa.

Some provinces that offer PNP streams without a job offer include Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Nova Scotia. However, the specific streams and eligibility criteria can vary. All the above-listed provinces operate multiple streams/sub-streams that don't require a job offer.

The Nova Scotia PNP processing time is 3-9 months from the day of receiving the application. However, the processing time of Nova Scotia PNP also depends upon the stream you select to apply.

Candidates who meet the criteria of one of nine different streams can be nominated for Nova Scotia immigration, with a target processing time of three months. The nine streams are: Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry. Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities: Express Entry.
