Appearance: Darkness and Aesthetics The primary difference between 5% limo tint and 20% dark tint lies in their respective levels of darkness. 5% limo tint is the darkest option available, allowing only 5% of visible light to pass through the window.

The front driver and passenger side windows must allow more than 35% of light into the vehicle after the tint has been applied. Any tint level can be used on the rear side windows and the rear window. If the back window is tinted, the vehicle must include dual side mirrors.

For the front windshield, tint is restricted to the top four inches of the windshield. On the vehicle's front side windows, tint must allow for 70% light transmission, so 30% tint is the maximum. For the vehicle's side rear windows, any level of tint is allowed, and this applies to the rear windshield as well.

In essence, the smaller the VLT percentage, the darker the tint.

Nevada law allows medical exemptions for window tinting with conditions like light-sensitive eyes and skin disorders. To apply for an exemption, secure a medical recommendation letter from a licensed physician indicating the medical necessity for tinting.

Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed above the manufacturer's AS-1 line. Front Side windows: Must allow more than 35% of light in. Back Side windows: Any darkness can be used. Rear Window: Any darkness can be used.
