Applicant's land must be accessible from a public road. The minimum parcel size for hunting properties is 40 acres. The OLAP biologist and/or technician can assist landowners with the application process.

An ODWC Customer ID is a unique number that will be assigned to you when you first log in. You may locate this number on your customer homepage and may use it for future logins.

All hunters (including lifetime license holders) who harvest a deer, elk, antelope, turkey or bear must immediately attach a field tag, securely to the carcass, with their name, customer ID number, and date and time of harvest. A field tag can be any item, so long as the tag contains the required information.

This license allows access to ODWC-owned Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) without the hunting and fishing privileges. It is typically purchased by those that want to use WMAs for other recreational activities such as wildlife watching, hiking, horseback riding, or attending events.

Age Exempt – Only residents under 16 years of age or those born before Jan. 1, 1923, are exempt from the purchase of a hunting license. Resident 100% Disabled Veteran – Must have a card from Veterans Affairs verifying exemption from a hunting license, or V.A. documentation stating the percent of disability.

PRIVATE LAND Much of the land in Oklahoma is privately owned. Hunters can typically freely take game animals hunted on their own private property, or may seek permission from a landowner to hunt on private property.

Zelbst and his wife, Cindy, own and reside on the U2 Ranch in Meers. They have a son, Clay, and are actively involved in cattle operations on the ranch.

Resident landowners or tenants who hunt only on land owned or agriculturally leased by them (not including hunting leases) are exempt from the hunting license.
