- In the ‘Code du relevé’ box, enter ‘R’ for an original slip, ‘A’ for an amended slip, or ‘D’ for a cancelled slip.
- Next, enter the dwelling's number in box A, and indicate the total number of tenants or subtenants in box B.
- For box C, complete the address of the dwelling, including apartment number, street, city, and postal code.
- Enter the names and mailing addresses of each tenant or subtenant under the appropriate section, ensuring to repeat the address if it matches the address in box C.
- Fill in the name and address of the property owner in the designated box, verifying the accuracy of this information.
- Sign the slip in the required space to affirm that all provided information is accurate and complete.
- Complete Copy 2 of the RL-31.CS slip for the tenants or subtenants you identified, transferring the necessary information from Copy 1.
- File the RL-31 and RL-31.CS slips by February 29 by sending Copy 1 of the RL-31 slip to Revenu Québec and Copy 2 to your tenants or subtenants.
